Two hospitality schools announce a series of events

2022 will be a year of celebrations at Swiss Education Group, Switzerland’s largest private hospitality educator. César Ritz Colleges Switzerland will be celebrating its 40th anniversary, while Swiss Hotel Management School will be marking 30 years of hospitality education. Ranked among the world’s best hospitality schools, this longevity not only reflects the quality of the academic programs offered by both schools, but also bolsters their outstanding international reputation among the world’s top employers.

As the world resumes in person gatherings, Swiss Education Group has announced a series of events throughout 2022 to celebrate the joint anniversaries of César Ritz Colleges Switzerland and Swiss Hotel Management School.

César Ritz Colleges Switzerland: 40 years of innovation and excellence

Drawing inspiration from hospitality pioneer César Ritz, César Ritz Colleges Switzerland fosters an entrepreneurial spirit rooted in sustainability and innovation. Ranked among the top ten hospitality schools worldwide, it is also the first to have received Green Globe certification—the highest standard for sustainability. The highly experienced faculty offers an experiential approach to learning, which emphasizes independent and innovative thinking.

Housed on two campuses (Le Bouveret and Brig), César Ritz Colleges Switzerland offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees, in partnership with Washington State University (USA) and the University of Derby (UK).

As part of the anniversary celebrations, the school will pay tribute to its founding members, alumni, and all those who have contributed to its international reputation, through a series of special events:

  • February 18, in Le Bouveret: a brunch to honor the memory of the founder, attended by former deans, program managers, and faculty
  • September 3, in Le Bouveret: a celebration attended by former students.

Swiss Hotel Management School: 30 years of developing leaders for the global hospitality industry

Swiss Hotel Management School combines the best of Switzerland’s rich hospitality heritage with the innovative learning tools of tomorrow. Ranked among the top ten hospitality schools in the world and an Apple Distinguished School, Swiss Hotel Management School provides a hands-on education on two campuses in Caux and Leysin.

In partnership with the University of Derby (UK), Swiss Hotel Management School offers a bachelor’s degree, a postgraduate diploma and three master’s degrees, with unique specializations including design, event management, data analysis.

To celebrate the international reach of the school and the impact graduates have had on the world, a series of events has been organized:

  • May 7, in Leysin: “World of Hospitality,” a conference organized by students, with representatives from the hospitality industry
  • May 12, in Caux: TedXSHMS with prominent speakers
  • September 3, in Caux and Leysin: a weekend of celebrations for new students

As Dominic Szambowski, Dean of Swiss Hotel Management School explains:

Our 30th anniversary is an excellent opportunity to project our school into the future, while continuing to focus on excellence and on developing our strategic vision of hospitality management. Indeed, as well as a celebration of our past, it is a motivating factor for our future contributions to the world of hospitality.

On the occasion of their anniversaries, both schools will open their archives, giving access to a treasure trove of stories. Additionally, they will be publishing a commemorative anniversary book, which will include souvenirs, photos, and other elements linked to the two schools’ history.
